All the details and
information about the real causes of global
warming
What are the real
causes of global warming?
Scientists
have concluded that our activities are contributing
to global warming by adding huge amounts of heat
trapping gases to the atmosphere and our usage of
fossil fuel is the main source of these gases. Each
time we drive a car, each time we use electricity
from coal fired power plants or use natural gas or
oil to heat our homes, we cause carbon dioxide
(CO2) to be released into the atmosphere, as well
as other heat trapping gases.
The other most
important source of greenhouse gases is
deforestation (specifically in the topical areas)
and other changes caused by land
use.
The atmospheric
concentration of CO2 - carbon dioxide - has
increased by 31 percent since industrialization and
atmospheric methane gas has increased by 151
percent; this has occurred mainly from agricultural
activities such as growing rice and breeding
cattle.
Quite simply, as the
concentration of these gases increases more heat is
generated and trapped in the atmosphere and less
escapes and it is this increase in trapped heat
that alters the climate causing changed weather
patterns which can bring unusually intense rainfall
(precipitation) leading to floodling and sever
storms or long dry spells leading to drought
conditions.
